1. I wish I had understood devolution, all its impacts, and the total clarity with which it has been introduced by the government
2. I wish it had been introduced with total clarity by the UK Government
3. I wish I had arranged a stomach stapling operation so as to prevent the inevitable effects of the weeks when I have five working dinners and three working lunches
4. I wish I had discovered a way of dealing with up to a hundred e-mails each day without actually having to read them
5. I wish I could have another five wishes.
