REVALIDATION MATERIALS AVAILABLE FROM RCGP SCOTLAND

The new Revalidation Toolkit, a supplement to the Revalidation Folder published in the summer, is now available for GPs in Scotland as part of a joint initiative between the Royal College of General Practitioners (Scotland), the Scottish General Practitioners’ Committee and NHS Education for Scotland. The Toolkit provides examples of the evidence that GPs in Scotland are expected to need to meet the requirements of revalidation (and appraisal), as well as practical suggestions on how to collect the information.

In addition, RCGP Scotland has produced a useful Revalidation Ring Binder for GPs who wish to store and present their materials in a practical and orderly manner. INTERNATIONAL POETRY COMPETITION

Anne Murray, a lay representative on the College’s patient liaison group, P3, shares a poem she was inspired to writing after attending on of the group’s meetings. The poem has since been short-listed in an international poetry competition.

The Light

Noble as the sunrise, the glow within shines bright
Tender hearts of elegance, surrounded by the light
Peaceful is the radiance, glowing in the caring zone
Societal grace vibrates in tune, with an angelic tone
Bountiful is the wisdom, shared in mutual hierarchy
