Since the last issue of hoolet, we have had one new successful practice complete the Quality Practice Award. Howden Health Centre in West Lothian, were successful on the 31st March 2004. Congratulations go out to them, I’m sure they must be delighted that all their hard work has now paid off!

Numbers of practices successfully completing the Practice Accreditation scheme are: 526 successful practices to date with a further 158 practices in Scotland working towards PA. Updated details of awarded practices can be found on our website at www.rcgp-scotland.org.uk/quality_and_standards.

13 candidates have been awarded MAP to date. Recent successes can be viewed on the UK website at www.rcgp.org.uk/map/news11.asp.

31 candidates are now working towards it.

42 members in Scotland have achieved the Fellowship of the College via this route to date with a further 13 applications.
