![]() IT'S YOUR MLGBy The College The Membership Liaison Group (MLG) is a sub-group group of Executive Board (EXB). Originally set up in September 2002 as the Faculty Liaison Forum, the group meets at least three times a year to share ideas across the faculties, act as the members’ voice and develop initiatives in conjunction with the rest of the College through EXB. Membership is based on two GP representatives from each of the faculties, one of which is a faculty Officer. The MLG is chaired by the Executive Officer (Membership), Gordon Crosby or Head of RCGP Scotland, Ruth Wallace in his/her absence. In addition the Service to Members Manager, Jim Murdoch and the faculty administrators are also members of the group. The MLG has also established an Education Sub-Group to discuss, share and implement educational activities across Scotland. It will be chaired by the Executive Officer (Education), Lesley Skinner.
The aims of MLG are: The MLG is currently looking at developing a number of initiatives including supporting faculty newsletters, developing special interest groups on the web, producing a Faculty Officers’ pack, promoting the College, scoping “blue sky” ideas, reviewing benefits of membership and more! Got something to say? MLG members would be delighted to hear from you if you have questions or want to contribute to the debate. You’re MLG members are:
