![]() THE ALASDAIR SHORT TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIPProfessor Stuart Murray has provided this update on the Travelling Fellowship set up in Alasdair Short’s memory. Almost £40,000 has been donated and it has been decided to have a annual Fellowship of £5,000 over a period of 10 years. The Fellowship will be open to GP Registrars, Public Health Trainees and young doctors in their first 5 years in these specialties. Applicants will be asked to produce one sheet of A4 as a proposal and accompany this with a CV. This would form the first stage of the process with the second stage more detailed involving the Institute being visited. We will ask RCGP Scotland and Public Health if the successful doctor can present their findings at a recognised event. The management of the Fellowship will be organised by Harry Burns at Greater Glasgow Health Board and the decision making about the award will involve Harry, Iain Wallace, Alison Garvie and Stuart Murray. Thank you to all those who contributed to this Fellowship.
