This is Louise Welsh's third book and if you read The Cutting Room and enjoyed it, you are in for a treat. Louise Welsh fulfills her promise and has written a very special book. She has a very sleazy touch and veers from sleazy London to sleazy Berlin to back to her sleazy Glasgow. It combines a slick, subtle story revolving around magic and despair and possibly redemption, but you have to read the book to find out if she will give our hero what he may or may not deserve. I would recommend all her books, an original Scottish voice.
